It takes a community of likeminded and passionate individuals to come together and save lives. You are part of this journey and without you, our team would not have the resources to save so many cats.

There are so many ways to help us grow and take care of those cats in need.

Yearly, we at Catchat Refuge (formally Casca Hudson) take in over 1,000 cats/kittens into care and average an adoption rate of 30 to 60+ cats/kittens a month. This is a massive amount of cats for a small team of dedicated and passionate volunteers to intake, manage, care for and adopt out. We rely entirely on donations for our funding, which means we receive no municipal or government funding or financial assistance.

Refuge Catchat is registered as a non-profit charity in Quebec under the registration number (NEQ) 1178774734 .

Having our own charter enables us to accept cats that other organizations and rescues refuse. These cats and kittens are often deemed less desirable, unadoptable, or their medical needs are complicated and costly. We at Refuge Catchat will always fight for the most neglected and vulnerable cats in need.

Did you know that our team are all volunteers. We have no paid employees. The adoption fees we set do not cover the basic cost of a cat in care up until its adoption day. These fees barely cover their basic vetting. This why it is essential that we hold annual fundraising events, adoption clinics and donation campaigns.

In order to continue growing as a rescue and continue to increase our intake of cats, while continuing to care for those already in foster care, we are asking the community to help support our efforts by donating.
